This is a reminder that the UBC Medical Journal (UBCMJ) is currently accepting submissions for the Fall 2013 issue. The UBCMJ is an internationally recognized student-run academic journal with the goal of engaging students in a dialogue in medicine.
The UBCMJ provides an amazing opportunity to:
- Publish a commentary, review or research in a peer-reviewed journal
- Learn about the submission and review process
- Stimulate dialogue on medical issues that matter to you
- Enhance your resume
Submission genres include Academic Research, Reviews, Commentaries, News and Letters, Global Health, and Case and Elective Reports.
The submission deadline for our upcoming Fall 2013 issue is Friday, March 1st 2013 at 11:59pm. The theme of the issue is Mental Health and Addiction, so submissions on this topic would be particularly relevant. However, it should be noted that articles do not have to be on theme and we strongly encourage authors to submit any work they wish to have published. To encourage and recognize high quality writing, we will be presenting the UBCMJ Distinguished Writing Award (with a $250 honorarium) to the strongest article submitted for this issue!
