MED2017 Class is full

The class of MED2017 is full and the waitlist has been shortened today.  We understand this may be a huge disappointment especially for those who are waitlisted and have been waiting patiently.   Unfortunately, the waitlist movement has slowed down and we wanted everyone to know as soon as possible to give you more time to decide whether you would like to apply for the upcoming application.

To those who remain waitlisted (who didn’t hear anything today); you should be proud of yourself.  You have come a long way.  Although there may still be a chance that a spot might open up it’s also difficult because you don’t know if it will happen. To give you a better idea, in the past spots rarely open up in July and August so it’s a good idea to consider future plans even though you are on the waitlist.

    Hi there,

I did not receive an email, so does that mean I will remain on the waitlist until classes start or will there be another shortening of the list prior to September? I’m wanting to open another application for this next cycle, however, I would rather do it after knowing for sure whether or not I will be a part of the MED2017 class.

    Thanks for your help 🙂

Thank you for the update. For those of us that are still on the waitlist, can we expect to either be accepted or to continue remain on the waitlist until late August? In other words, will the waitlist be further shortened sometime over the next month prior to the next month or so? If so, when will this occur, or how has it occurred in past years?

    Thank you

It’s hard to say. It really depends on whether someone will withdraw their acceptance. As we have said before, spots rarely open up in July and August so if needed we may shorten the waitlist further just to give you more time to decide whether you would like to apply for the upcoming cycle.
