On October 15th, 2014 the MD Undergraduate Renewed Curriculum Full Proposal was approved by UBC Senate. This milestone means that the renewed MD Undergraduate Program has been officially authorized by the University and can begin to admit students for the Year 1 launch in Fall 2015. These Class of 2019 students will be the first cohort to experience the renewed curriculum implementation through all 4 years.
The Full Proposal can be found on the Reports page of the Curriculum Renewal website. It provides a comprehensive blueprint of the four year curriculum, building on the Framework Proposal that was approved earlier this year.
With the Full Proposal approved, the Curriculum Renewal development teams continue to work on detailed course and assessment development, including week descriptions for Year 1 & 2 courses, educational activity objectives, and the schedule for renewed assessments. This structure will inform administrative implementation activities and materials development beginning in early 2015.
