The Doctor of Medicine Undergraduate Program at UBC’s Faculty of Medicine prepares students to meet the health challenges of tomorrow. Our learners receive the training necessary for a career founded on evidence-based practice, critical reflection, lifelong learning, and an ability to deliver care in a professional manner. We believe these skills will enable our graduates to transform the communities they serve and improve the health of the BC population and beyond.

Meet Our Students
I was inspired to pursue medicine because of my interest in human physiology and my curiosity about disease processes. I knew that I wanted to become a physician because I’ve always felt a calling to help others, and I felt that medicine would allow me to support people in some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. The most memorable experiences in medical school so far have been the times that I’ve gotten to learn about the unique lived experiences of my classmates. It’s truly a blessing to have the opportunity to learn from everyone around me, and a privilege to be part of this community.

Admissions Process at a Glance
Application deadline September 15, 2025
Evaluation File evaluation September to December. MCAT deadline October 15, 2025
Interview Invitations sent out early to mid-December. Interviews held early to mid-February. Supplemental application forms due mid-February.
Selection Final selection process mid-February to early May
Offer Offers sent out mid-May: $1,000 deposit required upon acceptance
