We shortened the waitlist today. It may seem like bad timing due to the holiday weekend, but we know that a lot of you have been waiting on this for a while and we wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible. We also thought that having an extra day to be with supportive friends and family before returning to work or school might actually be helpful in dealing with the disappointment. It is a big disappointment, especially to be so close, but unfortunately the waitlist movement has really slowed down and there aren’t going to be enough spots opening up to accommodate everyone who was on the waitlist. Everyone who received regrets today is absolutely welcome to apply again when they are ready to do so.
To those of you who didn’t hear anything today, the lack of news is both good and bad – good because there’s still a chance a spot might open up, but bad because you still don’t know if/when that will happen. Unfortunately, based on historical patterns, not a lot of spots open up in July and August. It’s a good idea to start thinking about your future plans even though you are still on the waitlist.
Are you able to tell us how many people are left on the waitlist now? You mentioned before that you weren’t able to release any information of this kind because waitlist movement can be unpredictable. Since the waitlist has more or less stabilized now, those of us still on it would appreciate any kind of information you are able to provide.
Sorry, we’re still keeping the waitlist confidential.
Hi,
Would it be possible for you to tell us about how many people you have left on the waitlist? Have you taken the majority of the waitlisted applicants out?
Thank you
Sorry, we are not revealing how many or what percentage of people are still left on the waitlist.
