President and CEO, Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada Geneviève Moineau was appointed President and CEO in April 2013. Prior to her appointment, she was the VP Education at the AFMC and the Secretary to the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) and the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CAME). Dr. Moineau received her MD from the University of Ottawa and completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Toronto Hospital for Sick Children. She has served as Associate Dean, Undergraduate Medical Education, as well as Pediatric Clerkship Director and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Program Director at the University of Ottawa. She is the recipient of the Faculty of Medicine 2010 Award of Distinction, and has a Faculty of Medicine Leadership Award established in her name. In addition to her administrative position, Dr. Moineau also practices Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, and is an associate professor at the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa.
