The Career Planning Program provides services to help current medical students plan their future careers in medicine and prepare themselves for applications to residency programs. Wherever you are on the career planning continuum – in Year 1 or applying to CaRMS – Student Affairs is here to support you.

Career Planning Timeline (login required). Wondering what career planning looks like each year? The four-year continuum maps it out and provides you with a picture of what you might want to focus on each year.

Career Exploration Resources (login required). These will help you decide what the careers are like and the changing workforce environment. Asking questions while you shadow is another important source of information.
