Credentialing/Degree Verification

COVID-19 update: As our office will be working remotely until further notice, we will not be able to provide official seals/stamps on documents. You must verify that the requesting institution will accept credentialing forms without the seal/stamp. Email us if you are unable to pay by credit card and we will work to arrange a solution.

Please note that Student Affairs only verifies UBC MD degree credentials. Residency and Fellowship verification requests can be directed to UBC Faculty of Medicine Postgraduate Studies.

For elective verification, please contact ubc.electives@ubc.ca.

To obtain a copy of your Medical Degree or Academic Transcript, you will need to submit a request to UBC Enrolment Services.

To submit a request for credentialing, please complete the MD Credentialing Request Form:

A separate form must be submitted for each document requested (e.g., If you need a letter of degree verification and a credentialing form, you will need to submit a separate request for each).

Payment

Student Affairs charges a fee of $25 for credentialing, per document (except for current students or those who have graduated within 6 months of the date of request). MSPR Documents fee is $40.

Processing times

Please allow a four-week processing period beginning from the date Student Affairs receives both the payment and the MD Credentialing Request Form, complete with the required documents attached. Note that our Office is not responsible for any delivery delays or lost mail.
